BIG Cucina e Grill is a restaurant located in Rome’s EUR district, in Via Amsterdam 72, conceived as a welcoming and characterful venue dedicated to Italian cuisine, conviviality and grilled specialties. Its gastronomic offer focuses on bold flavours, selected meat cooked over wood embers, traditional Roman dishes, international cuisine, seafood, pinsa and specialties designed for a wide and diverse audience. In this context, MM Contract managed the contract fit-out with a complete intervention, from design to final implementation.

The restaurant was created to offer an “out-of-scale” experience, both in its food proposal and in the atmosphere of its interiors. BIG Cucina e Grill is designed to host business lunches, family dinners, evenings with friends, private events and convivial moments across different areas, from the main dining room to more private spaces. The variety of functions and flows required a furniture project capable of combining comfort, durability and visual identity, while also ensuring operational efficiency for the staff and a high-quality experience for guests.

MM Contract managed the project from A to Z, taking care of the design, production and coordination of the custom fit-out. The intervention involved the main elements of the restaurant space, with solutions developed to reinforce the character of the venue and make every area functional for daily use. Counters, seating, surfaces, service components and custom-made furniture were designed to dialogue with the restaurant concept, maintaining consistency between aesthetics, practicality and durability.

The contract furniture design for BIG Cucina e Grill had to respond to the typical needs of a high-traffic restaurant: resistant materials, easy-to-maintain finishes, clear circulation paths, tables and seating suitable for different dining occasions, and an overall image capable of remaining memorable. The spatial identity of the restaurant was built through solid and recognizable solutions, able to support daily operations and enhance the gastronomic experience linked to meat, grilling and Italian cuisine.

The result is a concrete, welcoming and strongly identifiable space, capable of standing out within Rome’s restaurant scene. The fit-out helped consolidate the image of BIG Cucina e Grill as a dynamic and recognizable venue, suitable for a broad clientele, including well-known figures from Rome’s VIP and sports scene. Thanks to coherent design and careful execution, the interiors convey solidity, comfort and character, supporting the restaurant’s food proposal with a strong and distinctive visual identity.
