The new Lesko Factory in Arquà Polesine, near Rovigo in northern Italy, is a corporate and industrial project designed by Marco Casamonti & Partners / Archea Associati for Lesko Srl, a company specialising in building envelope systems. Completed between 2022 and 2024, the complex provides 6,630 sqm of built space within a total site of 25,460 sqm, bringing production and administrative functions together on a single level. MM Contract managed the office fit-out, working on the contract furniture and bespoke elements required to translate the architectural concept into complete, operational workplaces.

Visual continuity is the defining principle of the building. The timber structure, fully glazed envelope and continuous resin flooring create an open environment in which offices and production remain constantly connected. The furniture follows the same approach through a highly controlled palette based on natural timber, RAL 7035 grey and the green of the extensive indoor planting. Glazed partitions define working areas without turning them into visually enclosed rooms, allowing both daylight and sightlines to extend across the entire headquarters.

The office areas combine operational workstations, executive spaces and environments dedicated to meetings and collaboration. The furnishing system includes minimalist tables, low sideboards and bookcases, storage elements and upholstered seating designed to preserve the visual lightness of the architecture. Essence tables, sideboards and shelving are combined with Not upholstered armchairs and Tod wooden stools in offices and operational spaces. This creates a contemporary corporate environment where the warmth and tactile quality of timber balance the technical precision of glass, metal and grey surfaces.

Lounge and waiting areas introduce a more informal layer through low Oscar sofas, round poufs and Nomade coffee tables and stools. Their simple volumes and warmer tones are positioned within the open plan without creating visual barriers, often in direct relationship with the indoor trees and planted areas. Informal meeting zones follow the same principle, using timber tables, benches and stools to support quick meetings and spontaneous exchanges without the rigidity of conventional enclosed meeting rooms.

Break and refreshment areas adopt a more dynamic configuration, with E-quo high tables and benches combined with Not Wood high stools. The alternation between conventional workstations, high tables, lounge seating and shared meeting spaces supports different ways of working while preserving a single design identity throughout the headquarters. Furniture is not used to divide functions rigidly, but rather to suggest different forms of use and interaction, echoing the wider architectural concept in which even production lines are separated through planting and trees instead of opaque partitions.

Among the most technically demanding elements delivered by MM Contract are the large bespoke glazed doors, with elements reaching approximately 6.50 metres in height. Their exceptional dimensions required precise fabrication and installation while maintaining the minimal appearance of the surrounding transparent partitions. Integrated with the grey surfaces, glazing and timber structure, these large openings provide physical separation without interrupting the continuous perception of the space. Lesko Factory therefore represents a significant corporate contract case study for MM Contract, combining furniture, bespoke architectural components and coordinated installation to turn a strongly defined architectural concept into a functional and coherent workplace.
